E-WASTE RECYCLE DAY: 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at 2515 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia (old Quincy’s location, enter from Chris Drive). Lexington County residents only. Electronics accepted include computers (laptops, monitors, CPUs, keyboards, printers, scanners); TVs, copiers, VCR and DVD players, fax machines, telephone systems, cell phones, household electronics (stereos, radios, PDAs and electronic game systems). No refrigeration units of any kind accepted. Limit eight items per visit.

FAMILY HEALTH FESTIVAL: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Granby Gardens Park, 1800 12th St. Ext., Cayce. Sponsored by Palmetto Healthy Start, the event will celebrate children and families through games, music, food and activities for all ages. Positively revolutionary

FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM: 1 p.m. Saturday at the State Museum, 301 Gervais St. Discussion series in conjunction with the museum’s exhibit, “The American Revolutionary War in South Carolina.” Anthony J. Scotti Jr., a history instructor at Midlands Technical College, will discuss the importance of the Revolution in South Carolina and highlight some key battles.
