GEORGE TURNEY — KRT

As a kid growing up in the ’60s, I heard my dad talk about the problems at the VA hospitals. For decades the American public has known of the problems coming to light today.

The only reason we hear it today is because of political games being played. Congress has not funded the hospitals right for decades. Some members have been re-elected many times without helping to get this fixed. Where have they been?

It’s a shame our service members get treated like this. Congress is more to blame than anyone.
