Former Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers has been selected as an intern in Dallas this fall, working with the offices launching the new college football playoff system.

Rogers, 22, is a student at Clemson majoring in communications studies. She was selected as the Tom Mickle Intern in Communications and Brand Management. She begins work this fall, after she graduates.

Rogers was first runner-up in the 2013 Miss America pageant. The Laurens native made a splash when she was named Miss South Carolina in 2012, one of the best finishers from the state since Kimberly Aiken in 1994.

Rogers is a huge college football fan. In a media release, Rogers recalls when she first went to a Clemson game – when she was 4 weeks old.

“Not many people would believe that, but, really, I didn’t grow up wanting to be Miss America,” she said.
