LOURIE CENTER DANCE PARTY: 7-10 p.m. Friday at 1650 Park Circle (Maxcy Gregg Park). Classic favorites by the Capital City Big Band, open seating, reserved tables are available with a single purchase of six or more tickets. Bring your own drinks and snacks, mixers and ice will be available for sale. $15 in advance; $20 at the door. Proceeds will support programming at the Lourie Center. Fall prevention series

FALL PREVENTION 101: 10-11:30 a.m. Monday at the Gilbert-Summit Senior Center, 409 Broad St., Gilbert. Kelly Ward, aka “The Fall Prevention Lady,” will demonstrate mobility techniques and exercises (most can be done at home and even while seated). Workshop is free; each participant will receive a video and booklet. Seating is limited, call (803) 892-5745 to reserve a spot.
