Springdale neighborhood hit overnight with vehicle break-ins

— A rash of break-ins in a Springdale neighborhood has caused the police department there to caution residents not to leave valuables in vehicles.

Springdale Police Department officers responded to several calls between 9 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday in the “Old Springdale” neighborhood near Platt Springs Road. Officers caution residents not to leave valuables in plain sight and to make sure vehicle doors are locked.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call the department at (803) 796-3160.

The department is continuing to investigate.
