Mike Campbell releases TV ad

— GOP lieutenant governor candidate Mike Campbell released a television ad Friday where he mentions his ties to seniors after his father's death from Alzheimer's.

The son of the late Gov. Carroll Campbell says he will protect seniors and "continue working with Gov. Haley on the issues facing our state, and I’m a small businessman — so I understand that less government means more jobs."

The campaign did not release the amount of the ad buy.

Campbell, a Columbia businessman, faces former state Attorney General Henry McMaster in Tuesday's Republican runoff. The winner meets Democrat state Rep. Bakari Sellers in November.
