SCHOOLS

WHITE KNOLL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL nurse Amy Wood has been named 2014 Lexington 1 School Nurse of the Year.

S.C. GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL FOR SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS students Mathias Schreiner and Paul Shim have been named National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Schreiner is the son of Ben and Pam Schreiner of Camden, and Shim is the son of Minsub Shim and Joohwee Kim of Lexington.

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA student Amy McKinney has been selected to serve as an archeology intern at Mount Vernon.
