Columbia City Council: 6 p.m. Tuesday, City Council takes up final votes on next year’s $283 million budget, a construction contract for a $35 million stadium and an ordinance creating child -protection zones in city parks. An initial vote also is scheduled on using meal taxes to pay a loan to finance the city’s $29 million share of the stadium. Council chambers, third floor of City Hall, 1737 Main St.

Transportation Penny Advisory Committee Meeting: 5:30 p.m. Monday, fourth floor conference room, Administration Building, 2020 Hampton St.

West Columbia Planning Commission: 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 200 N. 12th St.

Batesburg-Leesville Town Council: 7 p.m. Mondayat town public safety complex, 660 W. Columbia Ave: Public hearing and final adoption of spending plan for year starting July 1

County Council: 4:30 p.m. Wednesdayat county administration building, 212 S. Lake Drive, Lexington: Final approval of spending plan for year starting July 1 and of Nov. 4 referendum for capital improvements sales tax package

Lexington 2 School Board: 7 p.m. Thursday at district headquarters, 715 9th St., West Columbia: Final approval of spending plan for year starting July 1 and of Nov. 4 referendum on $225 million package of school improvements
