Army Field Band to perform Thursday for free at Finlay Park

— The Volunteers of the United States Army Field Band, a six-member band, will perform for free at 7 p.m. Thursday at Finlay Park.

The Volunteers, one of four performing components with the U.S. Army Field Band, specializes in contemporary and patriotic music.

The band, which was formed in 1981, tours throughout the country at festivals, sporting events, Veterans’ hospitals and more.

The concert is open to the public and is hosted by the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department.
