— A fatal accident slowed traffic on Interstate 20 near the Clemson Road exit Tuesday morning, according to Lance Cpl. David Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

“The fatal accident involving a single vehicle and tractor trailer carrying logs happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning on I-20 at exit 74 eastbound,” Jones said.

The tractor trailer went off the roadway, Jones said.

Jones said there was another accident, which also involved a tractor trailer, about a half mile before the fatal accident.

“That crash also happened around 7 a.m. on I-20 at exit 74 eastbound,” Jones said.

Jones said sometime after 8 a.m. another collision occurred on the westbound side of 74.
