Horry County firefighters responding to reported overturned boat in the Intracoastal Waterway

North Myrtle Beach and Horry County firefighters responded to a reported overturned boat on the Intracoastal Waterway Wednesday about 3 p.m. North Myrtle Beach authorities report there are no injuries.

Horry County firefighters are launching a boat into the Intracoastal Waterway near the North Myrtle Beach airport where a boat reportedly hit rocks and overturned, said Kevin Rainer, an investigator with Horry County Fire Rescue.

The incident was reported about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

North Myrtle Beach firefighters shared a picture showing a boat on the shore of the Intracoastal Waterway, but not overturned, and said there are no injuries.

North Myrtle Beach firefighters said the passengers were escorted to dry land and the boat owner had the vessel towed.
