— Richland County Sheriff’s deputies have released surveillance video of a suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Forest Drive gas station.

Police say the suspect entered the Shell Gas Station at 5413 Forest Drive around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning and robbed a store clerk at gunpoint.

The suspect presented a handgun and demanded money from the store employee, Sgt. Curtis Wilson, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said.

The suspect threw a bag on the counter and demanded that the employee fill it with money, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said.

The suspect then fled on foot, Lott said.
