Your 2014 State Fair entertainment lineup is ....

The entertainment lineup for the South Carolina State Fair is deep this year, with MC Hammer, Shovels & Rope and Jennifer Nettles among the acts playing in early October.

The fair is Oct. 8-19. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18.

Five concerts on the Pepsi Grandstand lineup are free with admission. Paid concerts include admission to the fair.

Jennifer Nettles, the lead vocalist of Sugarland, will perform Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.

Lee Brice, who sang the Grammy winning country single, “I Drive Your Truck,” headlines a 7 p.m. show Saturday, Oct. 11.

Hammer, he of the ’80s hip-hop hit “U Can’t Touch This,” is closing out the fair on Sunday, Oct. 19, at a 6 p.m. concert.

The Marshall Tucker Band, with Say Brother, opens the fair Wednesday, Oct. 8 at a 7 p.m. show.

Shovels & Rope, the popular Charleston duo, plays at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct 9.

ZZ Top headlines a 7 p.m. show on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Other concerts include gospel star Fred Hammond, Sunday, Oct. 12, and Christian pop artist Britt Nicole w/Citizen Way on Friday, Oct. 17.
