Clowney

— An eviction notice filed by a local property management company against former Gamecock standout Jadeveon Clowney and his mother, Josenna, has been settled.

Landmark Resources LLC, of Columbia, which owns Carolina Walk condominiums located at 900 South Stadium Drive, filed the notice on June 30, Richland County court records show.

The case was settled Thursday morning. Landmark Resources declined to comment. Carolina Walk also could not be reached for comment.

According to court documents filed with the Dentsville Magistrate Court, the reason for eviction could vary from failure to pay rent or the end of the term of tenancy, although it is not clear as to why the notice was filed.

According to South Carolina law, a landlord can file for eviction if a tenant has not paid rent with five days of the due date or fails to follow the rules of the lease. The landlord must first issue a written warning, unless stated otherwise in the lease.
