— Deputies arrested a man Thursday at Richland County library’s main branch on Assembly Street after a library security guard reported that he was exposing himself to a library employee.

Investigators responding to the call caught Curtis McKie, 39, in the act, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release. He was charged with two counts of indecent exposure.

The July 3 arrest followed a similar incident around 3 pm on Monday at the library’s Wheatly branch on Woodrow Street.

An investigation found that McKie is also facing two charges for similar acts in other jurisdictions, Lott said.

If you think you have been a victim of McKie, you are asked to contact the Richland County Sheriff’s Department or call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CrimeSC.

McKie was being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Saturday.
