Tom Hoskins Memorial Sprint Triathlon: July 26 at the NorthWest Family YMCA, 1501 Kennerly Road, Irmo. This triathlon and duathlon includes a 350-yard swim in an indoor pool, a 13-mile bike race and a 5K ending at the Y’s Splash Pad. columbiaymca.org

SWIMMING

Maxcy Gregg Swimming Pool: The Maxcy Gregg Swimming Pool, 1651 Park Circle, has opened for the summer. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays, 2-6 p.m. Sundays and 1-7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Cost is $3 per visit for age 12 and younger, and $4 for age 13 and older. Seasonal passes are $80 for age 12 and younger, and $120 for age 13 and older. (803) 545-3100
