Wednesday letters: Nation needs God’s guidance

Posted on July 9, 2014

.

We are a nation that blames someone else for our troubles. The Democrats blame the Republicans, the Republicans blame the Democrats, the poor blame the rich, and the rich blame … you get the picture.

I am not writing to blame anyone. I am writing to point out a problem: As a nation. we have told God that we don’t need his guidance. We have the intelligence to govern ourselves and to work out our problems. God’s response to our arrogance was to move aside and let us do this.

To use a modern expression: “How has this worked out?”
