COLUMBIA, SC — Columbia Police officials said they have identified two men wanted for murder after a deadly shooting that occurred on Magnolia Street, near Two Notch Road.
Police Chief Skip Holbrook said arrest warrants have been issued for Horace Watts, 22, and his younger brother Malik Davis, 17.
Once captured, they will be charged with murder and attempted murder among other charges, Holbrook said in a news release.
Holbrook said the shooting occurred when a large party gathered at the 2700 block of Magnolia Street a little before 9 p.m on Saturday night.
Holbrook said Davis got into a verbal and physical altercation with another man before leaving the area. Davis and Watts were accused of returning to the area armed with handguns.
Davis and Watts fired several gunshots into the crowd striking two male victims. Both victims were transported to the hospital where one of the victims was pronounced dead. The other victim is still recovering from his injuries.
CPD Investigators said Davis and Watts fled from the area on foot after the shooting.
Watts is described as a black male, 5-foot 8-inches tall and weighs 160-pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Watts was last seen wearing light denim pants with a red belt, white T-shirt, a red and blue baseball hat and Air Force One tennis shoes.
Davis is described as a black male, 5-foot 6-inches tall and weighs 140-pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Davis was last seen wearing white leather shorts with a red and white shirt and Air Force One tennis shoes. He may also have a gold “grills” on his upper and lower teeth.
Their last known address was located on Waites Road, near Two Notch Road, in Columbia.
Holbrook said both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous and warns citizens to not approach them.
