Bulls to add 2011 draft pick Nikola Mirotic

Chicago TribuneJuly 13, 2014

The international man of mystery will finally arrive. Nikola Mirotic, the Bulls' 2011 draft-day acquisition, tweeted that he will be joining the Bulls.

"I am very happy and excited to announce that next season I will be playing with the Chicago Bulls," Mirotic wrote. "Today, I fulfill a dream."

Mirotic received assurances that he won't be traded and will complete his buyout from Real Madrid. The Bulls are able to contribute $600,000 of that roughly $3.2 million buyout without it counting against the cap.

Mirotic, a strong shooter who is considered a prototypical "stretch four" power forward, is widely considered one of Europe's best players.
