Update: Bravo TV is ready to bring on another season of “Southern Charm.”

The second season of the Charleston-shot reality series will feature Thomas Ravenel, the former state treasurer who spent time in a federal prison on drug charges.

The show’s renewal was announced by Bravo TV executives at the annual Television Correspondents Association media tour in Los Angeles.

Ravenel, who filed papers to run for the U.S. Senate seat Monday, previously said neither he nor his girlfriend, Kathryn Dennis, would appear on any second season.

On Tuesday, Ravenel said he would be a cast member.

The two drove the first season’s narrative, as they revealed the birth of a baby daughter after the final episode aired in the spring.

The news first was reported in The Wrap.
