Let’s DANCE!

LET’S MOVE! COLUMBIA DANCE PROGRAM: 9 a.m.-noon Friday at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 2300 Greene St. Led by a local dance instructor, ages 5-12 will learn the history and moves of a variety of dance styles including jazz, ballet, hip-hop and African. Sessions for ages 5-8 will be 9:10-10:15 a.m., with a break from 10:15-10:30 a.m., classes for ages 9-12, 10:30-11:45 a.m. with dismissal at noon. LEXINGTON ARTISANS MARKET: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post 7, 211 American Legion Drive, Lexington. More than 20 Midlands artisans with pottery, paintings, handmade sterling silver and copper gemstone jewelry, candles, photography, needlework, woodworking, art glass and fiber baskets. Free admission and parking. A silent auction featuring sports and entertainment memorabilia will be held throughout the day with a portion of the proceeds going to Post 7 and its programs. Sounds under the stars

SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: Daniel D and Urban Instrumentalist, 7-10 p.m. Saturday at Finlay Park, 930 Laurel St. Karaoke Idol will start at 6 p.m., with weekly winners for a cash prize; the finals will be held Aug. 16.
