— Another 2016 White House hopeful is returning to South Carolina, home of the South's first presidential primary.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., will be the keynote speaker at U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan's Faith & Freedom BBQ fundraiser on Aug. 25 at the Anderson Civic Center, the congressman's campaign said Wednesday.

Rubio visited South Carolina for the state Republican party's Silver Elephant dinner in 2012.

The Laurens Republican congressman's BBQ has attracted another presidential prospect last year, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

“I’m honored to have a solid conservative like Sen. Rubio come to South Carolina to headline this event,” Duncan said in a statement. “Senator Rubio shares South Carolina’s values of limited government and individual liberty, and I’m looking forward to having him visit our state.” Tickets cost $25 or $40 a couple. Admission is free to kids under 12 as well as active and retired members of the Armed Forces and their their families.
