— A busted 6-inch water main has prompted the Columbia Water Works to issue a boiled water advisory for some residents and businesses on Columbia College Drive.

Water customers on Columbia College Drive between Linden Street and North Main Street are urged to vigorously boil for 60 seconds any drinking water and water used to make ice or prepare food before use.

Customers who live near the advisory area who have experienced a drop in or loss of water pressure should follow the same precautions in order to reduce the risk of getting sick from contaminated water until the advisory is lifted.
