Ocean Boulevard in North Myrtle Beach reopens following reported fire

North Myrtle Beach firefighters respond to reported electrical fire at the Coral Reef Resort Thursday.


A portion of the road near the 1500 block South Ocean Boulevard in North Myrtle Beach was closed by emergency crews investigating an electrical fire for about 15 minutes Thursday, according to North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue officials.

Firefighters responded to the Carolina Reef Resort was about 1:30 p.m. where a motor in an air conditioning unit caught fire.

Ocean Boulevard closed between 14th and 16th Avenues South while crews were on scene.
