Former USC kicker Ryan Succop has agreed to a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs worth a total of about $1.2 million, according to Joel Turner, Succop's Myrtle Beach-based agent.

The Chiefs picked Succop with the 256th and final pick of April’s draft, earning Succop the title of Mr. Irrelevant and an all-expenses paid trip to Newport Beach, Calif., for next week’s “Irrelevant Week” activities.

Kansas City is expected to announce Succop’s deal Thursday.

Succop becomes the first of eight drafted Chiefs players to agree to terms.

Succop played four years at the University of South Carolina and made 49 of 69 field goals.

He worked out with the Chiefs during offseason practices, which concluded Tuesday, and is expected to compete with second-year kicker Connor Barth for Kansas City’s kicking job.
