    SAXE GOTHA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL students, staff and parents donated goods for children in Afghanistan. The son of SGES Math Coach Sandy Bressette is an Army Special Forces soldier stationed in Afghanistan. The clothing and food items were collected to help with Bressette’s mission.

    PELION HIGH JROTC DRILL AND RIFLE TEAMS recently competed in the Greater Midlands Area Drill and Rifle Team Championships. The Drill Team won four categories, and the Rifle Team members won first in four categories. Both teams won the League Championship titles as well.

    THE PELION HIGH DRILL AND RIFLE TEAMS have beat out 16 other schools and received first place awards at their JROTC Division meet. The Pelion High Drill Team won first place in the drill competition, and the PHS Rifle Team won first place in the rifle competition.
