We have to work to protect gains in child well-being

Our children are benefiting from South Carolina’s rebounding economy. Eight percent fewer S.C. children are living in poverty than in 2010, and more parents have full-time, year-round employment. The percentage of children living in families where the household head lacks a high school diploma is now down to 12 percent.
