As I made my way to work down my usual route through Rockbridge Road in Arcadia Lakes, the familiar sight of a Great Blue Heron resting on a limb caught my eye. Now, I’ve seen him perched there many times before but always found an excuse not to stop.
“He’ll be there tomorrow,” I’ve thought. “I’m late for work,” I’ve told myself.
As I framed the colorful scene in my camera, a passerby stopped for a moment.
“He’s always in that same spot,” he said. “He’s gorgeous.”
Yes indeed.
