A man accused of using toilet paper to set his girlfriend’s mobile home on fire is being sought by Lexington County sheriff’s deputies.
The fire Friday caused about $15,000 in damage to the home.
David Thomas Day, 49, of Lexington, is charged with second-degree arson, Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said. He also is wanted on a family court bench warrant alleging failure to make court-ordered child-support payments.
Day was alone at the home and was seen leaving shortly before the fire started, Metts said. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 135 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
