A West Columbia man pleaded guilty in federal court to participating in a counterfeit-money conspiracy, acting U.S. Attorney Kevin McDonald said.
Eric Kenyard Williams, 32, will be sentenced later. He faces a $25,000 fine and five years in prison.
McDonald said that from August to October 2007, Williams was involved in a ring that made, passed and sold counterfeit money. Two people accused of being co-conspirators are awaiting trial.
