Man accused of computer theft arrested
A 20-year-old Gilbert man accused of taking dozens of computers from a high school was arrested Tuesday by Lexington County and Batesburg-Leesville authorities.
Jeremy Antwoin “Tookie” Williams was at the Lexington County jail Wednesday on $230,000 bail. He is charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of grand larceny and two counts of criminal conspiracy, the Sheriff’s Department said. He is suspected of taking 51 computers valued at $75,238 from Batesburg-Leesville High School in February and April.
Police also are seeking a 16-year-old boy they say was an accomplice.
