Nearly 350 bronze vases stolen from Greenville cemeteries
Nearly 350 bronze vases have been stolen from two Upstate cemeteries this month, authorities say.
Anderson County deputies told The Greenville News that 245 vases worth more than $55,000 were taken from Forest Lawn Cemetery in Belton this week.
The thief or thieves left behind some of the flowers, sticking them in the hole where the vase was, investigators said.
About a week ago, Greenville County deputies say 104 vases were stolen from Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville. They were valued at about $13,000.
It’s too early to know whether the thefts are related, authorities said.
