Fish advisories: What's safe to eat

A sampling of fish advisories for S.C. waterways:

EDISTO RIVER

DO NOT EAT ANY: Bowfin (mudfish), largemouth bass, channel catfish, chain pickerel, flathead catfish

One meal per week: Black crappie, bluegill, redbreast sunfish, redear sunfish

One meal per month: Blue catfish

WACCAMAW RIVER, from N.C. to U.S. 17

DO NOT EAT ANY: Bowfin (mudfish), largemouth bass

One meal per month: Chain pickerel

One meal per week: Black crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, blue catfish, channel catfish, warmouth

BLACK CREEK, from Sumter County to the coast

One meal per month: Bowfin (mudfish), largemouth bass

One meal per week: Channel catfish, largemouth bass, redear sunfish

LYNCHES RIVER, from U.S. 15 to the Great Pee Dee River

DO NOT EAT ANY: Bowfin (mudfish), channel catfish

One meal per week: Redear sunfish

One meal per month: Largemouth bass, chain pickerel

LITTLE PEE DEE RIVER, from N.C. to the Great Pee Dee River

DO NOT EAT ANY: Blue catfish, bowfin (mudfish), flathead catfish, chain pickerel, largemouth bass

One meal per week: All other species

LAKE MOULTRIE

One meal per week: Bowfin (mudfish)

LAKE MARION

One meal per week: Bowfin (mudfish), largemouth bass

WATEREE RIVER

One meal per week: Bowfin (mudfish), flathead catfish

CONGAREE RIVER, from Columbia to Lake Marion

One meal per week: Bowfin (mudfish), largemouth bass, chain pickerel

SALUDA RIVER, from the Lake Greenwood Dam to the Congaree River in Columbia (does not include Lake Murray)

One meal per week: Largemouth bass, bluegill

One meal per month: Bowfin (mudfish)
