Cardinal Newman High School on Thursday completed the purchase of a site for its new campus in Northeast Richland.

Principal Jacqualine Kasprowski declined to provide the price paid for the 49.1-acre site on Alpine Road.

Plans envision the new campus to become home for up to 1,000 students. Enrollment is 455 in grades 7-12.

Plans are under way for a fund-raising campaign and settling on the project's design, Kasprowski said. No price tag for the new school is set, she said.
