A Myrtle Beach High School teacher was suspended after accidentally bringing a loaded gun to school, school officials say.
The teacher’s husband reminded her to remove the gun from his pickup truck before driving to work Tuesday, Horry County schools spokeswoman Teal Britton told The (Myrtle Beach) Sun News.
The teacher placed the loaded gun on the hood of the truck but forgot it was there, Britton said. A visitor at the school saw the gun in a holster on top of the truck and reported it to school officials.
The school would not release the teacher’s name.
No charges have been filed, Myrtle Beach police Captain David Knipes said.
