Slow Food Columbia and West Columbia restaurant Terra are partnering for a happy hour dedicated to local, sustainable fare and the people who enjoy it.
Terra’s Slow Food Happy Hour Tuesday will showcase light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails made with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. Slow Food Columbia is an organization of people around the Capital City interested in local and sustainably sourced cuisine. Terra specializes in local, seasonal produce and sustainable seafood.
The happy hour event will be an opportunity for Slow Food members to socialize and for others interested in the group to learn more, said Mike Davis, Terra’s chef and owner and a charter member of Slow Food Columbia. Davis is also a member of Slow Food Columbia’s board.
“It’s a meet-and-greet,” Davis said. “It’s a chance for like-minded people to come together and talk about what interests them, and it’s a chance for people interested in slow food to come out and get to know a little more.”
Never miss a local story.
Terra is located at 100 State St. in West Columbia. The happy hour event lasts from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Call Terra at (803) 791-3443 for more information.
