The kickoff to St. Pat’s at Five Points begins Friday, March 7, when the fountain in the Columbia shopping district turns green.
Between 5 and 7 p.m., a little party will revolve around the Five Points fountain as it is turned green in anticipation of the March 14 block party.
Entertainment includes Irish step dancers, bagpipers, a DJ, face painting and balloon twisting for the kids.
The weather Friday is expected to be a bit chilly, but sunny – perfect Irish weather.
St. Pat’s in Five Points pre-sale tickets are available at www.StPatsColumbia.com and selected businesses. This year, there is a $89 VIP package that includes admission into the festival ($20 value), food, beer, liquor, premier viewing from Saluda’s balcony and clean restrooms.
Headliners are J. Roddy Walston and the Business and the Chris Robinson Brotherhood.
