LEXINGTON’S RACE AGAINST HUNGER: Saturday at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, 5503 Sunset Blvd., Lexington. 5K fitness run/walk begins at 8:15 a.m.; 10K run starts at 8:20 a.m. and the 1-mile fun run is slated for 8:25 a.m. Registration for the 10K is $35; 5K and fun run, $20. A thorny issue
ROSE PRUNING WORKSHOP: 9 a.m. Saturday in the rose gardens of Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Harden street side. Members of the Greater Columbia Rose Society will also have information in roses suitable for the Midlands, where to buy them, how to plant and care for them and yes, pruning them.
