PARTY ANIMALS MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL: 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday at City Roots, 1005 Airport Blvd. Gates open at 11 a.m., the parade starts at noon (staging begins at 9:30 a.m.); festival will feature music, food and beverages for sale and a kids zone. $10; children age 12 and younger and dogs will be admitted free. RCSD to the rescue
SPAGHETTI DINNER: Noon-3 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of Dentsville Baptist Church, 6708 Two Notch Road. Tickets are $7, includes entree, salad and garlic bread (drinks will be served for dine-in only); delivery orders 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Conducted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, proceeds will help the church rebuild its sanctuary.
