THE FINANCIAL STATUS OF WOMEN IN 2014: 6 p.m. Thursday in Breed Leadership Center at Columbia College, 1301 Columbia College Drive. Event will highlight the most recent Shriver Report on the unequal status of women; WIS anchor Judi Gatson will moderate a panel discussion on the conditions that impact the financial stability of women in Columbia and surrounding communities. Going green on Greene
ST. PAT’S IN FIVE POINTS KICKOFF: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the fountain (Harden and Greene streets). Children can help with the tradition of dyeing the fountain green. There will be entertainment by the Rince N’ah Eireann Irish step dancers, DJ Scott Padgett and bagpipers in traditional Irish garb. The St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be March 15 this year.
