DINNER AND A SHOW: 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Richland Northeast High School, 7500 Brookfield Road. In addition to an elegant dinner, attendees will see “Hairspray” performed by the Palmetto Center for the Arts theatre students. Fighting the good fight
LIGHTS OF HOPE: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday on the State House steps (Gervais Street side). Luminarias will spell out the word HOPE and Willie Lee Garvin, a cancer survivor from Eastover, will share her cancer journey. The lights honor those who have survived or are fighting cancer; you may be part of this event by making a $10 contribution for each luminaria to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. http://acscan.org/stateloh
