The power of music

“SONGS FROM THE HARP”: 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sumter Opera House, 21 N. Main St., Sumter. Kipper Edens Ackerman, along with other local musicians, will perform a benefit concert for The Sounds of Grace, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring peace and healing through music by placing musicians in health care and hospice facilities and classrooms for children with special needs.
