HC goes silver
“PRIDEFUL POSSESSIONS: A SOUTH CAROLINA SILVER SAMPLER”: A new permanent exhibit opening Friday at the Robert Mills House showcases rarely displayed pieces from Historic Columbia’s museum collection and will investigate makers, sellers and consumers of silver in Columbia and Richland County during the late 18th and 19th centuries. The exhibit is shown as part of the guided tours of the Robert Mills House, 1616 Blanding St. Tours run at the top of the hour Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. $8; youth, $4; free for HC members. http://historiccolumbia.org
