POLYMER CLAY WORKSHOP: 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. May 17 at the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Art Center, 1928 Calhoun St. Suitable for ages 4-10; a minimum of four students and a maximum of 12 will be accepted to the class. Dinosaurs at the Fairgrounds
DINOSAURIA EXPERIENCE: Friday through Sunday in the Cantey Building at the State Fairgrounds, 1200 Rosewood Drive. Museum-inspired animatronic dinosaur exhibits, fire-breathing dragons, fairy garden and more. Tickets are $12-$20; age 2 and younger, free. EdVenture for the big kids
EDVENTURE AFTER DARK: “Chemistry of Cocktails,” 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at EdVenture Children’s Museum, 211 Gervais St. Adults-only event celebrates science in style with signature drinks while masterful mixologists explore the physics, chemistry and temperature that transforms your standard bar beverage into a classy cocktail with a scientific twist. Proceeds will benefit EdVenture’s Yes, Every Child Fund, the museum’s commitment to providing underserved families with admission for $1 per person.
