SUMMER MOVIE SERIES: 8:30 p.m. Fridays through July 25 at Riverfront Park, 312 Laurel St. Come early at 7 p.m. for face painting, games, surprises and fun for the whole family. Blankets, lawn chairs and coolers welcome. This week’s movie will be “Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs.”


Southern Guitar Festival

SOUTHERN GUITAR FESTIVAL AND COMPETITION: 7 p.m. Saturday at Columbia College, 1301 Columbia College Drive. Classical, Latino-American and flamenco music featuring Ivan Resendiz and Siuviu Ciulei. Columbia’s sacred sites

HISTORIC COLUMBIA’S SECOND SUNDAY ROLL: Guided bus tour of Columbia’s sacred sites, 2 p.m. Sunday beginning at the Robert Mills Carriage House, 1616 Blanding St. Attendees will visit some of the capital city’s historic sacred sites and their cemeteries, including First Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church of Columbia and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
