Jim and Misti Raman have had to juggle precarious challenges before on “The Amazing Race,” but on Friday’s episode of the adventure reality competition, the consequences could have cost the couple dearly.
In Singapore, Jim Raman, the Columbia dentist, had to traverse a tightrope between two 55-story towers to get the next clue. While harnessed, Jim still fell away from the tightrope and had to be pulled back to safety before a second attempt.
“My arms and shoulders and hands were just getting beaten to death,” he said.
Don’t worry: they both made it and proceeded to master the challenge of pulling two pounds of crab meat used in a signature Singapore dish. They made it in third place.
Never miss a local story.
There are four teams left, including the surfing couple Adam and Bethany Hamilton, who came in first.
