The road to being crowned Miss South Carolina 2017 is paved with 45 bright young women who have gone to great lengths to represent the state in the Miss America Pageant.
Great lengths, like depriving themselves of diet cheat days, practicing walks and talents for hours a day, and preparing for any and every question that could be thrown at a queen to jilt her crown.
Before Tuesday’s start of this year’s competition, we spoke with Miss Columbia Suzi Roberts, Miss Blythewood Briana Davidson, Miss Midlands Morgan Romano and Miss Richland County Carli Simms and asked them a few of the more burning questions.
Things like, how many pairs of shoes did you bring to compete?
Never miss a local story.
What do you consider your “secret weapon?”
What’s the first food you crave once the competition is over?
And, for one contestant, how “butt glue” can help a pageant walk.
