SUMMER’S END SOLAR RUN: 6 p.m. Sunday at Saluda Shoals Park. Kick off the solar celebration with a 5K run and 1-mile fun walk through Saluda Shoals Park. Cool off during the run in misting stations and finish up with the Summer’s End Celebration by enjoying local food, live music and craft beers. Proceeds benefit the Saluda Shoals Foundation. ECLIPSE EXPERTS: “MYTH, HISTORY AND SCIENCE:” 2-4 p.m. Sunday at USC’s Swearingen Engineerring Center. Come to the University of South Carolina for a series of short talks from faculty and visiting scholars on how eclipses have factored into myths and legends throughout history. Experts will also speak about the tumultuous sun and share their experiences of past eclipses around the world. Each talk is 30 minutes or less. 301 Main St. Free.
