Ever wonder who would win in a battle between “Planet of the Apes” and “Lord of the Rings?”
Whether you have or not, the answer will be revealed Thursday.
HEMI Food Truck Court is having an outdoor movie night this evening and community members have been voting on which movie will be shown: “Lord of the Rings” or “Planet of the Apes.”
“This week is our first ever “voter’s choice” mystery movie night,” said Christina Suvarna, of HEMI Food Truck Court. “Voters have until noon to cast their votes on which movie to show. I love engaging the community!”
Never miss a local story.
To vote, click on the event link on the HEMI Food Truck Court Facebook page and vote in the comment section.
Suvarna may announce the winner, or she may make everyone wait until she starts the movie.
Thursday Night Dinner will be at 728 Meeting St. in West Columbia. Folks are welcome to bring dogs, as long as they also bring, and use, poop bags.
Admission is free.
Suvarna encourages guests to bring blankets or folding chairs for comfortable movie watching, although there are picnic tables. Coolers are not permitted, but the food trucks will be open.
“We have food trucks that will be there from 6 p.m. to the end of the movie to service all your snacking needs,” Suvarna said. “HEMI Food Truck Court is all about outdoor activity. From food trucks and dining outside to outdoor movie nights to karaoke night and fun Aqua Splash days, we are always looking for something fun to do outside that will bring the community together in a positive way, while keeping it affordable and entertaining.”
