Baseball adds commitment for 2011

USC baseball coach Ray Tanner continues to build his program for the future.

Tanner and the Gamecocks received a commitment for 2011 on Friday from multi-position player Austin Gambrell (6-2 165) of Belton-Honea Path.

Gambrell plays third base, first base and he pitches. Last season Gambrell batted .333 with three home runs and 27 RBIs.

On the mound, Gambrell was 7-2 with a 2.25 ERA.
